Indian Health Services doctor facing child porn charges
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —Authorities say an Indian Health Services physician has been arrested on federal child pornography charges.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 61-year-old Thomas Murray is accused of transporting, distributing and possessing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Murray’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday. It’s not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
Federal prosecutors say Murray moved to New Mexico in October to take a job as a general practitioner with Indian Health Services at Acoma Pueblo.
The FBI began investigating Murray in December after receiving a report from the state attorney general’s office. Investigators uncovered an IP address linked to Murray’s home that was allegedly being used to download and distribute pornographic images.
The FBI arrested Murray and searched his home on Monday.
Now that is sick! A doctor, nothing is sacred. Of course given the number of clergy involved, I cannot be vindictive toward the profession, just the doctor!
Alan, I am going to enlighten you on the subject of clergy abusing children:
1. Without looking up actual numbers, far less than 900 listed as Clergy have been convicted.
2. I still am not looking up actual numbers, but close to 20,000 public school personnel(NOT CLERGY) have been convicted.
AND YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK!!!!
Alan, you know as well as I do, this is simply a ploy to discredit The Church, and GOD HAVE MERCY ON THEIR SOULS.
