BENNINGTON, Vt. – An Arlington man is behind bars for allegedly abusing a 4-year-old boy.

Alvin Shores, 25, is charged with domestic assault and cruelty to a child. Police say Shores assaulted his girlfriend’s son at some point over the last two days. When arrested in Bennington, Shores was found to have an existing unrelated warrant in place. He is being held without bail.

We do not know the current condition of the child.
