Amber alert girl from Houston found safe, Louisiana man in custody: State Police
An Amber Alert for a missing Houston girl has been canceled after the 6-year-old was found safe and the Louisiana man she was believed to be with taken into custody, according to Louisiana State Police.
Before Alexis “Lexi” Johnson was reported missing, she was last seen in Houston with Harvey Eugene York Jr., 40, of Zwolle, who is not her father. Texas authorities issued the Amber Alert, and Louisiana State Police assisted in the search for the girl.
On Monday (Oct. 12) morning, troopers discovered in Sabine Parish the 2000 Ford F-150 in which Johnson was last seen, according to Sgt. James Anderson, spokesman for the State Police.
