Governor Walker signs Child Abuse, Trafficking Bills

UPDATED: Tuesday, April 19, 2016 — 4:56 p.m.

MADISON, WI  –  Gov. Scott Walker has signed six bills designed to curtail child abuse and sex trafficking in Wisconsin.

The bills require the state to develop a procedure for investigating abuse of a disabled child; create the crime of repeated physical abuse of a child; and expand the definition of child sex trafficking to include transporting a child for commercial sex.

The remaining measures require the state, county social services and child welfare agencies to report a missing child to police within eight hours; transfer $1 million from drug enforcement and the state’s crime labs to combat Internet crimes against children; and make parents who photograph nude children for sexual arousal guilty of a felony.

Walker signed the bills Tuesday at various stops at law enforcement facilities around the state.

    1. Likamarie, I wish I didn’t have to tell you this but my post is actually 2 separate articles, the top is the latest post, and it was April 19, 2016, and I believe the Bills were already signed.
      Sorry,
      Robert

    1. Hello Noelle,
I appreciate your vote of confidence in Our Site!!!!
Now, first and foremost I hope you know that I am a very strong advocate of Our Peace Officers handling every Child Abuse call and investigation, and Our Site supports Our Law Enforcement Officers and Blue Lives Matter.
I am only looking at this for the first time, and I want to say you came to the right person.
But Noelle, I hate to bust your bubble, but there is no state that has adequate laws in place to protect Our Children.
One other thing Noelle, if Law Enforcement is avoiding this case, there is a reason. I have never been in Law Enforcement, but I know one thing, Law Enforcement does not prosecute. From my experience, the courts are to blame, and for that reason you and everyone else will continue to see posts that will wake up this LEMMING society to what is so wrong.
This administration is responsible for throwing Clergy and Law Enforcement Officers under the bus.
Butt rest assured I will look into this,
      Robert

    2. Noelle,
We highly value your input, and after looking into this matter I have something to tell you:
Noelle, you obviously have a Heart Of Gold!!!! My heart is on the floor for what this Dear Mother was forced to endure.
YES!!!! We are going to make sure everyone hears of this. Let me think about this, you see we have Our Website which is where you commented, but NOT IN MY WORLD!!!! has a Blog now also, My Brother’s Keeper, http://notinmyworld.com.
Noelle, this is a very long story, what I forsee is that we could draw more interest to this Mother’s Journey through hell by breaking it up into readable parts.
So I don’t forsee starting this morning any time soon, I will be in contact with you.
      Robert

    3. Noelle, please check your email, I am posting the first part now, if you have anything you wish included, I will repost.
Again, I do apologize, but now I wonder if I finished explaining that part.
      Robert
