All these symposiums, conferences, and meetings on Child Abuse this month sound real good; but as I look at all the resources we have compiled, along with the certified studies, articles, and Our posts, I am not impressed.
TOO FRESH is the memory of what Alan Fountain went through in Georgia. Nine months ago, I would have thought the petition Alan got together would have had a million signatures in a week or two, or at least 50,000 within a month.
TOO FRESH is New Mexico’s total disregard for Our Children, let alone Dereliction Of Duty due to the fact that at least 12 Sex Offenders were allowed to live far too close to a Day Care Center.
TOO FRESH is the sadness in my heart for my beloved Texas failing to report Child Abuse deaths
TOO FRESH is the 6,000 Child Abuse reports found in the trash in Arizona, the New York Daily News’ choice to post unsubstantiated reports of Clergy Abusing Children in Australia while New York falls further behind in investigating Child Abuse reports, or even Pennsylvania ignoring Sex Offenders and Child Sexual Abuse in their own school systems.
I say this because even as I looked at the new-born, beautiful little girl, I realized 11-year-old Raashanai and 3-year-old Scotty had come to see her….
LAUSD Teacher Charged With Child Abuse After Allegedly Placing Plastic Bag Over 4th Grader’s Head.
An elementary school teacher with the Los Angeles Unified School District who has been accused of placing a plastic bag over a student’s head in class was charged with a single count of child abuse Friday, officials said.
The charge came two days after the Los Angeles Police Department arrested 37-year-old Thelmo Garcia, a fourth-grade teacher at Rosewood Elementary School near West Hollywood.
During the Feb. 5 incident, Garcia allegedly placed the bag over a 10-year-old girl’s head and left it on for several seconds before removing it, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
A brief statement released by LAUSD on Thursday said that Garcia was removed from the school last month. His profile has already been taken down from the elementary school’s website.
Garcia was arraigned at the Foltz Criminal Justice Center in downtown L.A. on Friday and pleaded not guilty to the charge, according to the DA’s office.
He was being held on $100,000.
Garcia faces up to six year in state prison if convicted on the charge.
A strange thought occurred to me and I couldn’t help but sit and wonder.
I know nothing of atheist, but as I sat looking at this headline, this thought occurred to me: I wonder who atheist blame, since I have heard time and time again “The Devil made me do it”.
Everyone, or most people anyway, seem to have the notion that Our Children are protected by laws. On the contrary, Pennsylvania has just reworked many of their laws concerning Children and Maltreatment, yet here is what I found in Courthouse News….
PHILADELPHIA – Southeast Delco School District ignored and failed to report complaints of an elementary teacher’s abuse of little girls, allowing him to sexually molest two 8-year-olds, the parents claim in Federal Court.
