AMBER ALERT:  Police searching for 2 abducted San Antonio children

SAN ANTONIO, TX  –  An Amber Alert has been issued for two children that police say were abducted in San Antonio.

Police are looking for Kinsley and Kolby Hernandez.  The 3-year-old children are believed to be with Leslie Hernandez, who police say is connected to their abduction.

Leslie is driving a silver 2010 Chevy Suburban with Texas license plate JGG-2909.

The children are both described as being Hispanic, standing at 3 foot 3, and weighing 38 pounds.

Leslie, 39, stands at 5 foot 8, weighs 215 pounds, has red/brown hair and brown eyes, and a yellow butterfly tattoo on her shoulder.

If you have seen them, you are asked to call police.

Amber Alert out of Houston cancelled,
baby found, arrest made for murder

HOUSTON, TX  –  Two days after issuing an AMBER Alert, Houston police announced a six-week-old baby was found safe and arrest was made in the murder of the baby’s mother.

Baby Shamali Flores was found early Thursday morning and appears to be unharmed.  Authorities say a woman who recently suffered a miscarriage fatally stabbed the baby’s mom at a Houston apartment and abducted her newborn daughter.

Police Chief Art Acevedo said at a news conference Thursday that 28-year-old Erika Miranda-Alvarez is charged with capital murder in the death of 33-year-old Carolina Flores.  Acevedo says Miranda-Alvarez knew Flores, who was killed Tuesday.

He says Miranda-Alvarez hid her miscarriage from family members and was claiming that she had just returned this week from the hospital after giving birth.

He says investigators were at a southwest Houston apartment complex early Thursday when they happened to spot a couple holding a baby.  They questioned the couple and determined that Miranda-Alvarez was holding 6-week-old Shamali Flores, who was unharmed.

The suspect’s boyfriend has not been charged and Acevedo says it appears he wasn’t aware of the miscarriage.

Amber Alert issued for missing baby in
Greenspoint after mother found stabbed

HOUSTON, TX  –  Investigators said a baby missing after her mother was found stabbed to death may be with her father.

An Amber Alert has been issued for Shanally Flores, who was nowhere to be found when police were called to her family’s home at 185 Goodson Drive in Greenspoint.

Houston police believe the baby may be with Thomas Bernardez, a black Honduran male, who is a possible suspect in the woman’s stabbing death.

Bernardez may be driving a 2000 blue Toyota Celica with a black hood, and Texas license plate CM7-L340.

The baby is described as being 30-inches tall and 20 pounds.  She is believed to be Honduran and possibly black or of mixed origin.

Child Found In La Grange

Child subject of AMBER Alert found safe

SAN ANTONIO, TX  –  The child who was the subject of an AMBER Alert on Monday night was found safely in La Grange, more than 90 miles east of San Antonio.

San Antonio police spent nearly two hours looking for a 3-year-old child who was in a car that was stolen on the city’s West Side.

Josue Gonzalez, 3,

who was last seen in the backseat of a 1998 dark green Ford Mustang convertible.

Gonzalez is 2 feet tall and weighs 32 pounds.  He has brown hair, brown eyes, and last seen wearing a pink/red shirt with gray collars, cut off jean shorts and blue and brown Sperry shoes.

A man has been arrested, police said.

The suspect was driving a dark green 1998 Mustang with a Texas license plate number DD2P676.  The car has a ripped black convertible top, front left damage, right tail light out, back glass falling out and a portable gas tank visible.

The child’s mother said Gonzalez was asleep in the backseat of the stolen vehicle, police said.  She left the child in the car with it running while she went inside to pick up her boyfriend.
