I care, but…

Where would we be without you?

Look around you, what do you see?  Do you see a perfect world that you enjoy being a part of?  Do you see a world that is less than perfect, but you are content, so it’s not so bad?  Or do you see a world with misplaced priorities;  a world where Athletes are the Heroes, the Good Guys, even if they do sucker-punch their 100 pound Wife and knock her out in an elevator occasionally.  A world where the media hangs on every word of a Team Owner; a man your Children just possibly have noticed on the evening news, with his hands where they shouldn’t be on a woman who isn’t his wife.

So you DO CARE, you don’t like the inequalities that exist in the world as it is now;  but you have nothing to offer in the way of talent, you are uncomfortable and shy when it comes to speaking when more than one stranger is present.

Join the club, I just described me.  I was and still am, a bookworm, Ms Librarian, OK a nerd, I said it.  A short time ago, I was offered(?) a job as Editor of a G+ page for a group of people(strangers).  I was petrified, the first week it would seem to take half a day to type a very short post(OK, so I didn’t have to look these strangers in the eye, it seemed as if I was standing right in front of them), I would type 1 letter and then check to see if I had misspelled “a”, I was a nervous wreck by dinner every single night, and on the 3rd night was threatened with force feeding or a feeding tube by a certain tyrant.  But an unbelievable thing happened, these strangers were more than understanding, many were and still are there, day or night for me.(especially Bunny)

Then one day “she” joined Our Circle(“she” is actually 2 very different women, 1 is a brain, I just had to mention you Caroline), she was everything I ever daydreamed or imagined me being.  April was beautiful, talented, a very good parent, and even cared for others.(my 3 are actually at least 5, since I inherited 2 from my alter-ego and The Tyrant)

Please don’t mistake who I am intending this for, if you read each word, everyone mentioned and implied is who I am writing this for, but read on so you will know YOU TOO are desperately needed, to effect the change this world so badly needs.

I hesitate to think where we would be at this point in time without you.  A caring heart big enough, and with so much love, for everyone and every living thing in Our World, and you in  your GOD given caring way, already have all the above mapped and cataloged in your heart, which included this nerd.  You mean so much to me, and it is only right that I share at least a part of what Our Circle has been Blessed with. This is Our Circle’s April:

Teen posing as 12-year-old faces child porn charge

Hurst police arrested a 17-year-old posing as a 12-year-old in an HEB ISD school for possession of child pornography.  A second man, 28, who posed as the father was also arrested on charges of possession with intent to Promote Child Pornography and Sale/Display of Harmful Material.

Police said Ricardo Javid Lugo, 17, had been enrolled at Hurst Hills Elementary School in Hurst as a 12-year-old using fake documents. Lugo enrolled in Aug. 2014 and Randy Ray Wesson, 28, posed as Lugo’s father. The two schemed to recruit potential victims from the school for both of them.

According to an arrest affidavit, Lugo and Wesson met on Instagram in late 2013 and early 2014. Wesson told investigators Lugo was unhappy at home in Juarez. Mexico and he was 12-years-old. In either late February or early March, Wesson drove to El Paso and watched Lugo walk across the border and came back to Fort Worth with Wesson.  Wesson told investigators he and Lugo have had a sexual relationship since that time.

District officials said in a release: “There was no indication that the student’s records were forged or that the student was too old to attend elementary school. The student’s behavior at school also did not raise any concerns.”

Acting on a tip from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, police searched Wesson’s Fort Worth home and found more than 42,000 images of child pornography on computers, thumb drives and his phone. Investigators also found images of Hurst Hills students on Lugo’s phone.

Wesson faces a $3 million bond. Lugo’s bond is set at $250,000.
Detectives have reason to believe there are additional victims who haven’t been identified.

District officials said they personally contacted parents of sixth grade students on Wednesday to inform them of the news. A letter is being sent home with all Hurst Hills students.

Attorney Held on Child Sex-Abuse Charges

(CN) – An Oklahoma attorney traveled to Peru for a decade to have sex with children, federal prosecutors say in a three-count indictment.

Michael Dean Billings, 59, of Oklahoma City, was charged Oct. 22 with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children, conspiracy to travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual contact and conspiracy to engage in illicit sexual conduct in foreign places. The criminal indictment was unsealed Friday.

Prosecutors said Billings and others “conspired to commit sex trafficking of children by recruiting and obtaining children in Peru to engage in commercial sex acts and further conspired to travel from Oklahoma City to Iquitos, Peru.”  “Billings and others known and unknown to the grand jury, conspired and agreed with each other to knowingly, in and affecting interstate and foreign commerce, recruit, entice, harbor, transport, provide, obtain and maintain by any means [victims] knowing and in reckless disregard of the fact that force, threats of force, fraud and coercion … that the victims had not attained the age of 18 years and would be caused to engage in commercial sex acts,” the four-page criminal indictment states.

Billings flew to Peru “for the purposes of engaging in any illicit sexual conduct … with persons under 18 years of age,” the indictment states.

He was arrested Friday morning at his law office and appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Suzanne Mitchell, who ordered him held without bond pending a final detention hearing scheduled for Monday afternoon.

Billings faces up to life in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.

A Caring Family

Happy-Family-silhouette-500Family Relationships Make A Family Strong  And Successful

Learning – Families are where we learn values, skills, and behavior. Strong families manage and control their learning experiences. They establish a pattern of home life. They select appropriate television programs. They guide their children into the world outside the home. They do not let social forces rule their family life. They involve themselves in neighborhood, school, government, church, and business in ways that support their family values. Strong families teach by example and learn through experience as they explain and execute their values.

Loyalty – Strong families have a sense of loyalty and devotion toward family members. The family sticks together. They stand by each other during times of trouble. They stand up for each other when attacked by someone outside the family. Loyalty builds through sickness and health, want and good fortune, failure and success, and all the things the family faces. The family is a place of shelter for individual family members. In times of personal success or defeat, the family becomes a cheering section or a mourning bench. They also learn a sense of give and take in the family, which helps prepare them for the necessary negotiations in other relationships.

Love – is at the heart of the family. All humans have the need to love and to be loved; the family is normally the place where love is expressed. Love is the close personal blending of physical and mental togetherness. It includes privacy, intimacy, sharing, belonging, and caring. The atmosphere of real love is one of honesty, understanding, patience, and forgiveness. Such love does not happen automatically; it requires constant daily effort by each family member. Loving families share activities and express a great deal of gratitude for one another. Love takes time, affection, and a positive attitude.

Laughter – is good family medicine. Humor is an escape valve for family tension. Through laughter we learn to see ourselves honestly and objectively. Building a strong family is serious business, but if taken too seriously, family life can become very tense. Laughter balances our efforts and gives us a realistic view of things. To be helpful, family laughter must be positive in nature. Laughing together builds up a family. Laughing at each other divides a family. Families that learn to use laughter in a positive way can release tensions, gain a clearer view, and bond relationships.

Leadership – is essential. Family members, usually the adults, must assume responsibility for leading the family. If no one accepts this vital role, the family will weaken. Each family needs its own special set of rules and guidelines. These rules are based on the family members’ greatest understanding of one another, not forces. The guidelines pass along from the adults to the children by example, with firmness and fairness. Strong families can work together to establish their way of life, allowing children to have a voice in decision making and enforcing rules. However, in the initial stages and in times of crisis, adult family members must get the family to work together.
