SAN DIEGO (CNS) – The Department of State Hospitals Wednesday proposed housing sexually violent predator and pedophile Gary Snavely in Jacumba Hot Springs.

In August, a judge determined that Snavely, 51, could be safely released in San Diego County as long as he continued to get treatment. Public comment related to his release from prison will be accepted at a Dec. 19 court hearing. Last month, officials proposed placing Snavely in Borrego Springs, but that plan was withdrawn.

Snavely was convicted in 1987 of molesting two Orange County girls younger than 10 and served three years in prison. He was released, but violated his parole and was returned to prison.
In 1996 while living in San Diego after his release, Snavely was convicted of failing to register as a sex offender and was sentenced to 16 months behind bars.

Prior to his release from prison, the District Attorney’s Office filed a petition to civilly commit Snavely as a sexually violent predator. In 1998, Snavely was found to be an SVP and was ordered to undergo treatment at a state mental hospital.

In 2008, the court granted Snavely’s request for conditional release, but he was returned to the hospital several months later for medication misuse.

In April, Snavely filed a petition for conditional release, which Judge Louis Hanoian granted after hearing testimony from two mental health experts and reviewing reports from other experts.

Members of the public can comment on Snavely’s proposed placement in Jacumba Hot Springs by going to the court hearing on Dec. 19 or do the following by Nov. 21:

Decades in Prison for 2 Producing Child Porn

WARNING!!!!  This Post is VERY GRAPHIC!!!!

I agonized for over an hour, but it would be wrong not to post this.  Just over 2 months ago, when I started the Google+ Page of the same name, I was met with a view toward, or an attitude that shocked me at first.  HOW DOES ANYONE LOOK ON CHILD ABUSE WITH APATHY OR INDIFFERENCE.  I always knew people knew what was happening.  And while I am holding the presses on my post, let’s just go ahead and clear the air.  The first thing you are going to hear from someone is PEDOPHILE.  No, No, No, not that many out there, although they are something different altogether.  No My Friends, the majority of people who Sexually Abuse Children don’t come from the west side of town, nor do they come from south of the border.  It is a NARCISSISTIC and  HEDONISTIC attitude shared equally among

the races and social classes, whatever some people want, they are going to do it even if it’s their daughter, grandson, neighbor, or student.  But I know in my heart that this will awaken some of you. I honestly wish I didn’t have to post this.  GOD Bless you all.

Two from Northwest Arkansas sentenced for producing child porn

Two Northwest Arkansas men were sentenced Friday to decades in prison for creating child pornography, in one case involving a 2-year-old girl and in the other case an 8-year-old boy, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge.

Scott Sholds, 32, of Fayetteville was sentenced to 80 years in prison for a child pornography offense involving the rape of a 2-year-old girl. Randy Bise, 52, of West Fork was sentenced to 30 years in prison for a child pornography offense involving the sexual abuse of an 8-year-old boy, according to the news release.

In both cases, authorities began investigating after receiving reports that child porn was on the defendants’ cell phones.

Videos on a phone that had been in Sholds’ possession depicted him performing sex acts on the girl, according to the news release. Photos on Bise’s phone included sexually explicit images of an 8-year-old boy, who was later identified as a family friend, according to the news release.

“The actions taken by these two defendants against these very young and innocent children shocks the conscience and will forever impact their lives,” Eldridge said in the news release.A two-year-old little girl and an eight-year-old little boy were the victims of these child predators. Crimes such as these are reprehensible, and we must do everything in our power to both prevent abuse and prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law.”

Ex Baltimore Ravens cheerleader Molly Shattuck arrested, charged with rape

(CNN) — The woman who was once the oldest cheerleader in the NFL faces rape charges for alleged sexual encounters with a teenager at a Delaware vacation home.

Former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader Molly Shattuck, 47, turned herself in to authorities on Wednesday and was arraigned on charges of third-degree rape, unlawful sexual contact and providing alcohol to minors, police said. Shattuck’s alleged relationship with the 15-year-old boy “began in the area in which they resided near Baltimore, Maryland, and culminated with Shattuck providing alcohol to minors and engaging in a sexual relationship with the 15-year-old male at a vacation rental home in Bethany Beach, Delaware, over Labor Day weekend,” Delaware State Police said.

She has pleaded not guilty and posted $84,000 bail, CNN affiliate WBAL reported. “This is a difficult situation for everyone involved. Thank you for your time,” defense attorney Michelle Lipkowitz said, according to WBAL

Shattuck became the oldest cheerleader in the NFL when she joined the Ravens’ squad in 2005 at age 38. In 1997, she married Mayo Shattuck III, the former CEO of Constellation Energy. The two are separated and going through a divorce, according to WBAL. A 2008 profile of Shattuck on the Ravens’ website described her as a “well-known civic leader in Baltimore.” That year, she appeared on the FOX reality show “Secret Millionaire,” living for a week on low wages in a coal-mining town in eastern Pennsylvania, according to the profile.

Shattuck was nominated for a service award from Maryland’s governor’s office this year for her work. She also published a book, “Vibrant Living,” detailing her 21-day “back-to-basics approach to better health and better habits.”
